Description – Sometimes known as the “sunshine oil”, Bergamot has a beautiful, uplifting citrus scent and is useful in helping to allay anxiety and depression. It also has antiseptic, antispasmodic and deodorising qualities.
How to – Put 10 drops of Bergamot oil into 100 ml water that has been boiled and cooled; to use as a disinfectant for cuts and grazes.
Origin and main producers- native to Canary Islands, now grown in Italy.

Aromatic lore – has been used in the Middle East for hundreds of years for skin conditions associated with oily skin. Gives the distinctive flavour of Earl Grey tea.
